Ok, we haven't posted much on this lately so we'll you list of some awesome stuff that's been going on!
~God has opened the door for Randy to use His spiritual gift of preaching at different churches and camps.
~We held our first 2 baptisms in December!
~One of the couples in Antioch found out they are pregnant:)
~Next week we're starting our second Branch Community here in Mason County.
~This week one of our college students (her name is Randi) gave her life to Christ!
~God has opened up doors in Sweden (Yes I said Sweden) with a young man named David who's doing an LTG with Randy via Skype and is interested in potentially planting a church (Branch Community) there too.
Well that's enough for now...feel free to email me with any questions or thoughts! We appreciate all your prayers:)

Ice Cream Fundraiser
Well our ice cream fundraiser was a success! We were able to raise about $900 and had some great conversations along the way too. Too bad the Lions lost. Thank you so much Curtis Family for opening up your shop and putting this on for us!!!

ICE CREAM SUNDAE FUNDRAISER!
A great thing happened to us this last week. Some friends of ours who own an ice cream shop up in Manistee have offered us their shop to have a fundraiser for Antioch! The place is called MY WAY DEPOT and they have a make-your-own sundae bar with 12 flavors of ice cream and 60 toppings.
So here's what we are doing. They will open the place this coming Sunday, October 4th from 1-5pm. Everything will be by donation only and all the proceeds will go to Antioch. How cool is that! So show up with your family, small group, friends and whoever. Again here are the details:

Our First Night!
So here we go. This last Wednesday we opened up Antioch by meeting at our house for a cookout, Bible study, and just to hang out together. We had a blast as we ate mini-hamburgers and got to know each other. In all we had around a dozen of us sitting in our living room as we began to jump into our first study. Right now we plan on going through John's gospel verse by verse as we open up the doors to our group about the life and person of Christ.
Our study went deep and awesome. I was kind of nervous because I was afraid to go to deep with the new people we had, but it turned out that they abosultey loved it. It was awesome to see our people range from freshmen in college to a couple who just found out that they were going to be grandparents for the first time, and then or course the rest of us fell in between there somewhere. Our son Isaiah even found a friend to play with too! We couldn't have asked for a better first night!

Go. Set. Ready.
I think this is the order we are about to start. Go. Set. Ready.
Wow.
It will be a busy fall as we will be holding our simple little church in our house on Wednesday nights. Right now there are five of us hanging out and learning what it means to follow Jesus together. To add to this we have a handful of people involved in Life Transformation Groups that are going awesome too.
Amongst this, God is opening up doors for me (Randy) to preach at different churches over the next couple of months. This last weekend I was blessed by having the opportunity to share God's heart for the lost with Community Reformed Church in Charlevoix. I'll spend the next four weeks speaking over at Trinity E-Free church in Ludington and then on October 18th I'll speak both at Midland Reformed in the morning and then Rehoboth Reformed (over in McBain) in the evening. Part of my heart will be to continue waking up churches and pouring God's heart out for them to reach beyond their walls.
Some other main areas we will be focusing on over the next couple months are:
1. Continueing to raise funds for our support over this endeavor by partnering with churches and individuals.
2. Being active in the community (I know...kinda vague but we're still praying for God to guide us in this area towards the best things as we have a more opportunities than time to do them all).
3. Pouring into our core team.
4. I will also be working a part-time job in construction to help make ends meet for right now.
Some simple prayer requests:
Our family as my younger brother just recently lost his wife to cancer.
For protection from the enemy as we embark on this new walk in faith.
Funds to come through to support Antioch.
That God will use us (whether speaking in churches or hanging out with people) to further His kindgom.
If you have found this blog helpful or have some ideas please let me know!
